Stud Conversion Kit (VW - MK7/MK8)

What Stud Size Do I Need?

Picking the perfect stud size isn't as confusing as it may seem. Let's break it down!

  • 44mm Stud - No Spacers
  • 64-65mm Stud - Up to 15mm Spacer
  • 78mm Stud - Up to 20mm Spacer
  • 90mm Stud - Up to 25mm Spacer

What Nut Style Do I Need?

There a few different options for Nuts. Choosing the right nut is very important given the wheel setup you have.

Ball Seat Nuts - If you are using wheels that are OEM or are OEM lug based, you will need a Ball Seat Nut. This describes the surface where the lug nut tightens against the wheel. If the surface as a curved, ball shape then you will need the ball seat nuts.

Conical Nuts - If you are using aftermarket wheels, you will typically see them using a conical seat surface. This seat surface will look like a cone shape vs. the curved ball shape.

MH Race Nuts - These are a conical seat nut so they need to be used with a conical seat wheel. These are special cold forged formed steel nuts that will give you the quality out of a proper nut, but also give you different look compared to a normal style nut.

What is the Endurance Stud?

For the 78mm Stud Size, there is actually two style of stud. For all the normal studs(all other sizes), to install the stud you would use the allen head socket on the front of the stud to tighten the stud in place.

With the Endurance style stud, it is designed to be installed using a double nut installation method. Without the hex tip as the standard option has, this is designed for offering the most strength you can get out of the stud.

Introducing a ready to go Stud Conversion for your MK7 and MK8 VW's. Having a german car, you'll typically see lug bolts instead of studs. This is where a stud conversion comes into play and it allows mounting and discounting the wheel a lot easier compared to lug bolts. This will also save your wheel hub from damage over time when putting on/off your wheels.
